All new Hagstrom electric guitars include the company’s patented H-Expander truss rod. Providing tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world’s fastest playing guitar.
Ensuring accurate tuning, Hagstrom’s exclusive 18:1 gear ratio machine heads are also included on all electric models.
The new Hagstrom Tremar Vibrato sets a new standard which concerns design and functionality.
On models featuring tremolo,
sustain is further enhanced by the use of the Full Contact System tremolo bridge (FCS-1) full contact bridge system, which offers more contiguous contact than any other tremolo bridge on the market.
Driving the guitar body with uninhibited string energy also generates maximum tone and sustain, so the Hagstrom block stop tailpiece is employed to deliver the maximum vibration into the body.
A self-lubricating graphite composite nut ensures increased sustain and vibration through improved transfer of energy to the neck, while the hard tropical mahogany tone woods used on the body produce a warm, mellow sound.
Full Contact Bridge = Maximum Energy Transfer. The function of FCS-BD4 is a natural energy radiator. It insures the maximum amount of vibrating string energy transfer between the string and the body of the Bass. The individual components that make up the bridge are all contiguous and secure tightly together maximizing surface contact.
This increases the natural sustain and volume of the instrument more than any other bridge design on the market to date. The result is more tone, sustain and purity of sound. The FCS-BD4 offers dual access for those who prefer to run the strings through the body or set through the bridge block, for different tonal variations.

Hagstrom uses only the finest select tone woods and figured wood stocks to enhance the sound and beauty of each instrument. North American Hard Rock Maple, arguably the finest neck wood and used by the best luthiers world wide, further enhances the playability, durability and bright articulate tone.
Resinator Wood is a wood composite material that is homogeneous in nature and is more stable than any standard wood product. It is the perfect fingerboard material in that it eliminates wolf tones or hot spots. It has an articulate sound like high quality Ebony without the problems associated with Ebony.
Hagstrom guitars feature a high grade polyester finish which delivers a much harder, smoother and denser finish while also producing much better sonic performance than polyurethane which is used on the majority of other guitars.
Hagstrom guitars are legendary among guitarists because of their playability, beauty and durability. This new family of Hagstrom guitars builds on that reputation with the use of several unique innovations in materials and manufacturing techniques that bring Hagstrom boldly into the 21st century.
